Karnataka Biodiversity Board, Department of Forests, Government of Karnataka, has appointed Prof. (Dr.) Sairam Bhat, Professor of Law and Coordinator of CEERA, as a Member of the Expert Committee for the implementation of the Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) provisions under the Biological Diversity Act, 2002 along with Karnataka Biodiversity Rules, 2005 and the Guidelines on Access to Biological Resources and Associated Knowledge and Benefit Sharing Regulations, 2014, for the State of Karnataka.
